The devastating wild fires that are ravaging the planet start in the forests and spread to the cities. I saw this first in Australia and out of the devastation came the shoots of new life. The colours of the fires and embers are really striking. I tried to capture this within a painting that grew new life from those embers and gave hope to the world.
